EFPA´s Seven Pillars for Mental Health were presented on 20th March at the European Commission stakeholders webinar, within the framework of the Healthier Together – EU non-communicable diseases initiative. EFPA believes that a comprehensive and unified EU mental health strategy could stimulate the development of national action plans and unify diverse efforts on the ground. This strategy should be aligned with WHO’s call for more community-oriented services and would ideally be associated with an EU Year of Mental Health to help give the process a recognisable identity and vibrancy.
