Health crisis, migratory flows, global demographic changes, Western aspiration to the quest for oneself, so many factors which, among others, outline a five-generation society that humanity must now invent. Psychologists are thus increasingly invited to intervene at the various ages of life that result from this: childhood and adolescence for a long time, old age for a few decades, but also now, students and young adults in disinheritance, marital, parental and sexual problems. during adult life, guidance and support for lifelong transitions, mid-life crisis, transition to retirement, seniority, grandparenthood, etc.

These practices of listening, support, therapeutic follow-up, evaluation, accompaniment and advice at all ages of life question and renew the clinic and psychological intervention, without forgetting the technological developments in progress (consultations remotely, chatbots, artificial intelligence, etc.). The production of 21st century psychology is already underway, both from the point of view of research and of the ensuing epistemological fluctuations: existential psychology, positive psychology, neuropsychology, etc.

These 8th Francophone Interviews of Psychology will discuss these human evolutions and their repercussions on psychology as a practice, but also as a discipline. For this do, they will be broken down into themes addressed during plenary conferences and symposia, such as:

  • The new panoramas of existence
  • The living environment, second adolescence?
  • Advances in age of women and men
  • The couple, the family and age
  • The accidents of life: illness, disability, unemployment, divorce…
  • The breakdown of the centrality of work
  • Seniority, grandparenthood and retreat into reconfigurations

On the basis of up-to-date scientific knowledge and innovative practices to be shared, these 8th Interviews invite practitioners, researchers, teacher-researchers in psychology to present their thoughts, to question their specificities, to consider the recommendations that may emanate from them, intended for their community. , to other professionals, to society at large and to the politicians involved. They are also open to all professionals who work with psychologists in the field or at the university, in the field of health, education, social work, business and institutions, ergonomics , justice, sport, transport.
