Experts from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies (Observatory) prepared 29 Country Health Profiles, covering all EU Member States, Iceland and Norway.
The EU’s Country Health Profiles are designed to be a one-stop shop for knowledge and information on a country’s health system, including cross-EU comparisons: Country Health Profiles – Public Health – European Commission
The Country Health Profiles are a comprehensive resource covering each country’s latest health policy challenges and developments, and include references to mental health.
Each profile provides:
- a short synthesis of the country’s health status
- the determinants of health (focusing on behavioural risk factors)
- an account of the health system organisation
- an analysis of each health system’s effectiveness, accessibility and resilience.
