The European Congress of Psychology (ECP) aims to promote the dissemination of psychological knowledge, to develop a clear image of psychology and make it accessible, useful and respected.
The ECP is organised every two years by one of EFPA’s member associations in coordination with EFPA.
Comprehending all areas of psychology across Europe, the ECP provides participants – whether psychologists, students, educators, policy makers, journalists, and others with an interest in psychology – with a unique opportunity to inform themselves about psychology as a science and a profession.
With great joy, we invite you to join us in September 2027 for the 20th European Congress of Psychology in Belgrade — one of Europe’s oldest and most vibrant cities.
Located in Southeast-Central Europe at the unique confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers, Belgrade has long been a crossroads of cultures, ideas, and experiences — a true melting pot, much like psychology itself as it responds to the vast challenges facing contemporary human society.
ECP 2027 will bring together leading minds in psychology from across Europe – researchers, practitioners, educators and students alike. Your participation is vital to deepening the exchange and making ECP 2027 a truly unique and enlightening experience.
Hosted in the heart of Belgrade’s historic and cultural centre, at the University of Belgrade and important nearby cultural venues, the congress offers not only rich academic exchange, but also the warmth of Serbian hospitality, dynamic city life, and a deep cultural legacy.
We can’t wait to welcome you — with our cheerful sparrows, and yes, our traditional three kisses included!
Professionals, academics, researchers, and students from Europe and beyond were invited to attend the conference to exchange ideas, contributions, and best practices.
Paphos combines a historical location with beautiful nature and renowned hospitality.
‘Transforming Psychological Science: the 2030 agenda’.
The road to achieving the SDGs 2030 agenda has been long and with professed limited progress. Psychology as a science studying emotions, cognitions, and behaviours has been relatively missing from the equation. EFPA has set priorities that are believed to contribute to sustained and meaningful EU-level action. ECP 2025 offered a platform for exchange and collective intelligence to discuss how our science and practice has every-day societal, and policy implications in guiding the process and reaching its full potential by setting its 2030 agenda.
