Webinar 5: Mastering Clinical Record Keeping: Best Practices and Ethical Considerations

Abstract

Across various information management systems, key components of client records generally include informed consent forms, biographical data, emergency contacts, testing results, treatment plans, and billing information. Participants have learned about maintaining accurate session notes, documenting crisis incidents, and managing printed communications with clients. Additionally, the session covered the importance of tracking treatment progress through questionnaires and maintaining copies of client-related documents, such as therapy attendance confirmations, etc. By focusing on these essentials, this webinar aimed to enhance practitioners' skills in organized, compliant, and client-centered record-keeping.
