Project 7: Community Psychology: definition of the field of practice and most relevant functional competences for the field of practice Community and Social Intervention
Intended Goal
To draft the definition of the field of practice and contextualise the most relevant specific functional competences as related to the field of practice Community and Social Intervention, in the form laid out in Appendix 1.3 EuroPsy Fields of Practice and Competence Profiling in the EuroPsy Regulations, to be approved as an addition to the EuroPsy Regulations by the 2027 General Assembly.
EFPA Purpose contribution: Develop psychology: i. Develop psychology education, science, and professional practice
Specific Objectives
- Prepare the definition of the field of practice Community and Social Intervention in the form laid out in Appendix I.3 EuroPsy Fields of Practice and Competence Profiling in the EuroPsy Regulations.
- Prepare the brief description of the most relevant functional competences for psychologists working in the field of practice Community and Social Intervention as related to this field of practice for section I.3. EuroPsy Fields of Practice and Competence Profiling.
- Prepare (in conjunction with the EFPA Head Office and Chair of the European EuroPsy Committee) the Full Member consultation related to these proposed additions to the EuroPsy Regulations, respond to feedback received and finalise the proposed changes for the approval of the Chair of the EEC and Board of Directors.

* FM (or other external source(s) agreed by EFPA as appropriate) will be expected to cover any cost of travelling, accommodation and subsistence in the event of face-to-face meetings. All meetings that are held in person, however, should also be hybrid to allow attendance by project team members for whom in person attendance is not an option.
Meeting rooms, refreshments/ lunch and hybrid meeting technology are provided by EFPA Head Office for in-person meetings in Brussels. Overall costs for the face-to-face meeting are thereby reduced by using EFPA’s Head Office facility in Brussels and in the absence of good reason to the contrary this should be the preferred venue. Meeting in Brussels also facilitates project management and support by the Head Office.
