European Semester of Psychology in Estonia

Psychology under construction: mental health services and research responding to societal challenges

July – December 2024

The focus of this European Semester were the challenges faced by psychology (as a profession as well as a research field) facing changing societal challenges.

The activities included hybrid lectures, seminars, webinars, and presentations by Estonian researchers and practitioners.

The topics included: work and organizational psychology (with a focus on the advent of digital work and AI); challenges posed to mental health services by the war in Ukraine.

“Challenges of the Psychological Service, Examples of Successful Cases of a Good Application Practice”

January – June 2024

The theme of the European Semester aimed to highlight the challenges and difficulties encountered in a country in relation to the implementation and institutionalization of psychology. This decision came based on the history of the rise of the psychologist profession in Albania as a profession in recent years in an effort to provide a quality psychological service in: education, health, organizations, community and more.

Some specific activities, open to European associates, were been planned.

European Semester of Psychology in Italy

“Psychological science and profession for increasing health in society”

July – December 2023

The theme of our European Semester emphasizes the role of our discipline in providing scientific grounding for the interventions aimed at enhancing physical and mental health in all the fields of professional psychology: education, training, social groups and community, work and organizations, forensic and clinical settings.

In the 2nd European Semester, we are glad to share presentations of Italian advances in academic research and professional practice with our European colleagues and to receive their feedback and new inputs.
