9th World Congress on Women's Mental Health: Determination & Solidarity

From 6 to 9 November, the international conference on women and mental health of the IAWMH (International Association for Women's Mental Health) will take place in Maastricht. This year's theme is “Determination & Solidarity”. As a partner of the alliance, the NIP is actively involved in organizing this conference.

During the conference, various national and international speakers will talk about women's mental health. The keynote speakers will be:

Women and mental health: More attention needed for sex and gender

In 2021, the NIP joined the  Gender & Mental Health Alliance . The aim of the alliance is to improve the quality of mental health care by stimulating attention to the role of sex and gender in mental health. For example in research, education, general mental healthcare knowledge, and in practice. We know from research and from practice that sex and gender can play an important role in the expression, diagnosis and treatment of mental complaints. We are of course happy to actively contribute to achieving these goals.
