EFPA Council meeting in Tallinn, Estonia

The meeting was held in Tallinn as part of the European Semester of psychology being hosted by the Estonian Union of Psychologists, led by Kenn Konstabel. 

A core purpose of the gathering was to understand more about psychology in Estonia. The Council had presentations from Estonian colleagues holding a grant from the Estonian Research Council on topics including AI, personality and job types, and mental health, many drawing on the impressive country level Biobank of data. An overview of the growth of psychology in the country, and principal research university in Tartu, were also presented. You can watch the recordings here.

Council discussed key aspects of development of European psychology within EFPA, and Full Members shared successes and ongoing challenges at the national level.

Estonian colleagues as part of the European Semester also supported the webinars Mental health at the time of war in Ukraine: challenges and initiatives”. These webinars, hosted by the European Commission on the EU Health Policy Platform, took place on 8 and 19 November 2024. You can watch the recordings here.
