EFPA contributes to the European Commission’s Action Plan against cyberbullying

September 2025—EFPA welcomes the European Commission’s Action Plan against cyberbullying, recognising cyberbullying as a significant threat to mental health and wellbeing. Psychologists in Europe emphasise prevention, protection of vulnerable groups, and accessible evidence-based support for victims, as well as appropriate psychological resources for perpetrators.

EFPA calls for integrating psychological services into digital platforms, strengthening digital literacy, and collaborating with technology providers to create safer online environments. Training for teachers, parents, and professionals can play an important role, and policies must be grounded in scientific evidence.
