The Awarding Committee noted Lars Backmän’s distinguished career bridging cognitive theory and applied practice, advancing understanding and intervention in cognitive ageing. His influential research, recognized internationally, has shaped both science and practice, with lasting impact through key discoveries, targeted interventions, and a strong publication record that has advanced the discipline and inspired others.
The Aristotle Prize will be presented by the President of EFPA and a representative of the Association of Greek Psychologists during the Closing Ceremony of the European Congress of Psychology in Paphos, Cyprus on Friday 4 July.
