The Albanian Order of Psychologists contributes to the European Mental Health Week

Tirana, May 13, 2024 - As part of  the European Mental Health Week, the Albanian Order of Psychologists (OPA) organised a major activity on 13 May on the theme of "Together for Mental Health".

The event was opened by Valbona Treska, President of the OPA together with the Minister of Health and Social Protection, the Minister of Education and Sport, the Vice Mayor of Tirana, and EFPA´s President, Professor Christopher Steinebach.

Entertainment included performances by the Fanfare Band, an artistic performance by young dancers from Ballet School and a theatrical presentation about mental health by students in psychology from the Faculty of Social Sciences of Tirana.

Attendees were also invited to view paintings on mental health created during the event by students from the Artistic Lyceum "Jordan Misja," under the sound of the songs of singer Ardian Trebicka.

The well-organized event by the Albanian Order of Psychologists left a lasting impression, demonstrating their commitment to promoting mental well-being through collaboration.

Also as part of the European Mental Health Week, the OPA organised a message displayed on billboards throughout Tirana from May 13th to May 19th, 2024.

The message reads:

" All Together for Mental Health. 

Tirana proudly welcomes the presidents of psychologists from across Europe (EFPA) for the first time.

Mental health issues can affect anyone.

Let's end the stigma!"
