European Conference - Psychosocial intervention among the immigrant population.

With the cooperation of EFPA’s Standing committee Disaster and Crisis Psychology (Magda Rooze, William Yule,..) with subjects like:

  • Refugee and asylum seeking children
  • Refugee Crisis – Preparing to meet the psychosocial needs of refugees and asylum seekers
  • The experience of psychological support in temporary accommodation to displaced persons from Ukraine
  • Family gatherings for refugee families in Norway.

The second part of this conference will focus on the project "1000 Psychologists for Disaster Situations" and will include the presentation of a strategy for the implementation of the psychologist pool and the delivery of the first kits to trained psychologists.

The general goals underlying the European Conference on Crisis and Disasters Psychology are the following: 

  • Discuss relevant topics and practice issues of the psychological intervention in disaster and crisis situations; 
  • Debate the guidelines of psychological intervention in disaster scenarios; 
  • Provide a space for sharing knowledge, practices, experiences and the theoretical models that support these psychological interventions; 
  • Discuss the ethical issues faced by Psychologists in the area of crisis intervention and disaster;
  • Contribute to the recognition and affirmation of Psychology and Psychologists in emergency, crisis and disaster situations
